PhenoAge Test
PhenoAge is a laboratory-based estimate of phenotypic aging, sometimes described as a biological-age estimate. It combines chronological age with nine blood biomarkers using a published mortality-risk model, then expresses the result in years. It describes the age corresponding to a similar modeled physiological risk in the reference population. It provides a general estimation and does not reflect the biological age of every organ.
The model has research validation: it was developed using NHANES III and evaluated in a separate NHANES cohort, where it was associated with mortality and morbidity beyond chronological age.
